The scale is behaving itself. Yesterday it read xx.2, and today it was xx.1 which means .1kg more and I’ve lost 3kgs! This makes me feel better about life, the universe, and everything. Yesterday, I had a Japanese lesson, and I decided to ride my bike to it (for a total a 10km). A good portion of the bike ride was uphill (kill me), but I did it. At first I thought this Japanese teacher was just meh, but she was much better the second lesson. She bought the book I like and the teacher’s manual, and she prepared notes for me. I’m glad I FINALLY found a Japanese teacher even if she’s not super close to my house.
On the bike ride back home, I got lost chasing some Pokémon gyms but eventually found familiar territory after spotting a lone bloomed sakura tree. I had just about exhausted myself yesterday, so I spent the rest of the night in watching TV, reading, and other general laziness. It was a good day.
Today, I walked my house guest up to the ドンキ but it started to rain horribly while we were out and about. I left her to shop and jogged with Small Lady back to the shelter of our apartment. My house guest had the genius idea of staying in nestled under blankets all day watching my anime DVDs. I, however, couldn’t do the same as I had a meeting with Demande. Would you believe he showed up EXACTLY on time today? I couldn’t believe it. He also messaged me in the morning to confirm our meeting. Who IS this guy? No complaints about him today at all. While we were working the Ariana Grande song “Problem” came up on the rotation, and I was like “Damn, I like this song.” Turns out it wasn’t on my iTunes. Well, it is now. I swear every time I leave this guy I have a new song to add to my music. I love it.
Since I had lunch with my friend who’s (getting a divorce from her husband and) leaving Japan, Mamoru has been making a better attempt at conversation with me. He’s not lavishing me with attention but he’s talking to me and that’s a start. Baby steps.
That’s all the news that’s fit to print. This weekend Mamoru and I taking the house guest and attempting to see some sakura. Wish us luck!
